REPRODUCTION:
=============

- create a recurring all day event
- select the second event
- open the edit dialog and choose 'This occurrence only'
- change this event from all day to a normal event with a duration of one hour
- save and close the edit dialog

RESULT:
=======

- after this the first all day event of this occurrence is switched to a normal event and not the second!

EXPECTED RESULT:
================

- the second event is changed to a normal event.

Same in the local calendar works fine.
Excellent catch! It's a bug in the work-around code for non-DATE RECURRENCE-IDs (parsing the WCAP ical stream).
Status: NEW → ASSIGNED
Fixed and checked in on both HEAD and MOZILLA_1_8_BRANCH.

I checked this issue in the latest nighly build at windows and linux. Task is fixed.
