If you visit a PDF page, a page containing a Java Applet, a page containing Flash... the memory usages and cpu usage are massive.

I believe this is a bug in memory and cpu management of all plugins.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.visit pages containing PDF, flash, applet in different tabs.
2.even when you close tabs the memory is not released
3.
Actual Results:
the memory and cpu usage goes up!
about 99% CPU usages and lots of memory usages

Expected Results:
free memory and cpu after closing tabs

please pick one problem for one bug, with one or more URLs that support the one problem.

if the issue is flash then bug 340566. workaround is install flashblock extension.
otherwise, and especially with no URL, you are a dupe to bug 131456

also helps to know what version of plugin. flash is reported by
