Details

(Keywords: testcase)

js> f = function() { { if(false) try { function x(){} } finally { } } }
function () {
    {
    }
}

js> eval("" + f)
function () {
}
js> f = "(function() { { if(false) try { function x(){} } finally { } } })"
"(function() { { if(false) try { function x(){} } finally { } } })"
js> print(eval(""+f))
function () {
    {
    }
}

Looks like the empty braces are still there, but at least they stay there with the eval.
