I downloaded the latest version of Firefox, and the display only appears on the top 2/3 of the screen. I have tried adjusting "view" (no answers) and display settings, but nothing will make the display occupy the entire screen. This does not happen with IE 7, which I abhor using, but 2/3 of a 14" screen is inacceptable. Please help me get back to using FireFox, of which I am a devotee.

Thanks much, Gary Beals 949-929-9959. gwbeals@yahoo.com

Perhaps an extension has created this problem?
Maybe http://kb.mozillazine.org/Gray_bar_below_status_bar ?

If it isn't, and the problem is that the window itself will never occupy the entire screen, then maybe the localstore.rdf is damaged, see http://kb.mozillazine.org/Localstore.rdf . You can safely delete the file (manually, or by starting in safe mode), it will be recreated.
You know, I hate to ask, but did you click the Maximize button in the upper right corner, the box next to the X?
