User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a1) Gecko/20061001 Minefield/3.0a1
Build Identifier: http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/nightly/latest-trunk/firefox-3.0a4pre.en-US.win32.installer.exe

Nightly build is 13/4

Typing letters will open the quickfind bar and fill it with letters. However, a search won't start until I press f3, rendering it much less useful.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open firefox in some page
2. Click some letters which appear or not on the page
3. Compare the result to what happens after clicking f3
Actual Results:
The letters are filled in the bar and nothing else

Expected Results:
If the letters exist in the page, they will be highlighted, scrolled to if needed. Adding more letters will update the search, moving to a different result if needed. If the substring no longer exists, the edit box should change to red.

Did you also test this in Firefox's -safe-mode?
Tomer, does this work for you using the latest nightly with a clean profile?
