Enhancement Requests:

(1) At https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=Thunderbird&format=guided
provide a more sophisticated search mechanism. Or link to same. For (2), searching on 'attachment', 'attachment search', or 'attachment and search', all reveal too long a list in the very small search results box, to be practical.

(2) In the search results box, allow all columns to be selectable in the column choosing drop down box.

In my particular case, I was looking for messages with attachments, but that column is not listing in the column selection box.

i.e. One can search on various criteria, including the bodies of messages, but not the bodies of attachments within those messages. I can see where this would be important for performance reasons. But at least let me make a short list of messages to open and check the attachment contents.

A list of messages?? What does it mean? FYI, the columns displayed are taken from your cookies, so the columns you see are those you selected.

Err, all I can understand is that reporter seems to want to search attachment content from the guided entry. Still I think we need more information on what exactly is requested here but there has not been any activity in over a year.
