I brought up Firefox, used Yahoo search to find the current URL for the Superior Court of L.A. County, when I clicked on the link they provide, Firefox locked up and I had to totally shut down the program. I am wondering if this is a characteristic of Vista, as I have not had this problem with XP.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.log on
2.use search to find address for Superior Cts. of Calif. Los Angeles County
3.Click on link to access site
Actual Results:
  Just did above.

Expected Results:
Firefox locks up and won't retrieve information.

  None
URL doesn't exist for me.
Link is lasuperiorcourt.org. I find I have NO TROUBLE accessing the site from my Windows XP machine. My Vista machine absolutely won't go there. Firefox locks up and won't respond at all. Is Firefox fully compatible with Vista?

Can you please try making a new firefox profile ( http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_manager ) and see if it works in that.
Note: Do not delete your existing profile.

WFM on Vista.
This was probably a problem with an old Java plugin, it takes a while to load but loads fine with java 1.6.0_1
