User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.3) Gecko/20070310 Firefox/1.5 (Debian-2.0.0.3-1) Build Identifier: 1.5.0.10 (20070329) when selecting outgoing smtp auth using SSL when a username and password is specified (but this info is not really correct), thunderbird doesn't prompt with an error silently but silently sends null values. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.

Looks a lot like bug 73693 comment #0. Sujay, how do you know that thunderbird sends null values ? Could you reproduce the issue with a recent build (something like thunderbird 3.0b2) and follow the instructions at https://wiki.mozilla.org/MailNews:Logging and provide us with a smtp log ?
