We should make the Guided bug entry form default to a "General" component if there is one. This might reduce the incidence of misfiled bugs.

Great, some more magic stuff in Bugzilla. Could you please keep it for b.m.o only? It doesn't make sense to use the guided form on other installations as the guided template is designed for b.m.o only. And it has many hardcoded stuff which cannot be used without some rewrite.

LpSolit: I don't get why you are upset; this page has always been b.m.o.-specific.  It's included in the Bugzilla distribution as an example of how to do custom bug entry forms. It's not designed to be reused by other sites as-is.

This means that of course the fix will be b.m.o.-only.
