Downloaded Firefox after reinstalling Windows XP prof and recieved three icons on desktop, computer hangs. this also happened about a month ago when I loaded newer update ver of thunderbird was also the reason for reloading XP.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.down load Firefox.
2.save to....
3.open
Actual Results:  
when click install three icons appear on screen and HDD begins to constantly run

Expected Results:  
Computer slows HDD seems busy 

I reloaded win XP ALL OK, reinstalled firefox, all ok, then reinstalled thunderbird problem reappeared.
HAD USED FIREFOX AND THUNDERBIRD FOR WELL OVER A YEAR WITH NO PROBLEM.
Firewall/antivirus issue? Try disabling them...
=> incomplete, no response from reporter
please comment if you still see problem
