Later I configured my proxy and then when I start thunderbird it doesn't ask me for the sccount password. when I take out the proxy configuration it works again. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. create an IMAP account 2. configure your proxy manual 3.

I don't know the current Thunderbird proxy UI as Seamonkey user. Did you setup the proxy in Thunderbird for Images in mails or do you want to use a Socks proxy for the imap accvess itself ? I think you added a non socks proxy URL/IP in the socks proxy field.

I have a similar problem : till las Thunderbird update, it opens without requesting any password, and I am so unable to open my remote mailbox (orange). OS : Windows Xp SP2 Spam filter : Spampal v1.594 Thunderbird :2.0.0.6 Regards Maurice
