when i tried chatting in Gmail in - built chat using gran paradiso then no letters were displayed during the whole chat session i tried changing the font and encoding of the page yet it did not work out....apart frm this the notifications on the title kept coming in like "###$$ says ---"..yet no letters were seen in the  chat program

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.log in to gmail account 
2.allow any other online frnd to chat with u . don't start chat yourself
3.you will see that notifications comes but no sign of letters
Actual Results:  
no chatting possible ..only notifications are there like sound coming up or the dialog box of the chat pops up but it is blank..

Expected Results:  
it should have displayed the letters in the chat 

it occurs everytime...

Can you test a newer build, yours is antique ?
