User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/20070725 Firefox/2.0.0.6 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/20070725 Firefox/2.0.0.6 Every time I use a link sent to me thru email, a "loctate link browser" window opens. Only after firefox automaticly updates itself. the fix is always the same, but am getting tired of having to do this every single time a update is run. the fix entails opening my computer>tools>folder options>file types> and then editing both "URL; Hypertext transfer protocol" and "URL; Hypertext transfer protocol with privacy" Under both file types i use the advanced button> highlight the open, and hit edit> and un-check the Use DDE option. Is there a chance that in future updates this option will not be re-enabled ever time? very annoying. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. update firefox to a newer version 2. 3.

This bug was reported on Firefox 2.x or older, which is no longer supported and will not be receiving any more updates. I strongly suggest that you update to Firefox 3.6.3 or later, update your plugins (flash, adobe, etc.), and retest in a new profile. If you still see the issue with the updated Firefox, please post here. Otherwise, please close as RESOLVED > WORKSFORME http://www.mozilla.com http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Safe+mode

I am seeing this with Firefox 3.6.3. I haven't noticed this with versions previous to this.
