User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/20070725 Firefox/2.0.0.6

This site services the District of Columbia Superior Court. It is the only method by which many critical court documents can be filed. Most of the time we have no problem using Firefox. On two occasions, however, we could not complete the filing procedure. We could proceed through the entire process until we got to the point of uploading a file. That is when the intermittent failure occurred. Yesterday we tried more than a half dozen times without success. The day before we had no problem. CaseFileXpress tech support told us both times that the site only supports Internet Explorer and that we could expect intermittent failures using Firefox. They claim the site is being "fixed" to accommodate "other" browsers. They claim there is no work around.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Log in
2. Proceed through filing process
3. Last step is upload file, this is where failure occurs
Actual Results:
Intermittent failure to upload.
We also tried with a brand new MAC using Firefox, same problem.
Can you try it on a Mac using Camino, and on Windows using Seamonkey, just to ensure that both can log in and use the system? If not, that's a hurdle we'll have to jump first (although proper support for any one Gecko browser will bring support for all of them, which sounds like it *might* be in the works).

I'd be very curious to know what "other" non-IE browsers they actually think people use. As far as I know, Firefox is by far the largest non-IE browser in terms of market share.
If you could also ask them to contact us either in this bug or directly and let us know what the issue is so that we might investigate the problem from our end that would be great. You can use my bugmail address or my normal email (change bclary @ to bob @).
From the reporter in a private e-mail, which I asked him to post here without results:

>1. Using Camino on a Mac we could log in.
>
>2. Using Seamonkey on a PC we could log in
>
>3. Using Netscape on a Mac we could NOT log in.
>
>4. Using Firefox on a Mac we could log in, but not upload a file.
>
>5. Using Firefox on a PC we could both log in and upload.

To which I would then ask:

Could either Camino or Seamonkey upload?
Summary: Using Firefox will intermittently fail. → casefilexpress.com - Using Firefox will intermittently fail.
It's pretty clear there's a need for evangelism here, so I'm going to go ahead and confirm this. It would be nice to have some answers to my question in comment 4, though.
