Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; zh-TW; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/20070725 Firefox/2.0.0.6
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; zh-TW; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/20070725 Firefox/2.0.0.6

it appears whenever i opened a new page, install the new system once again and it still keeps its original position. mainly, it blocks my view since it takes up almost 1/2 of the page.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.open firefox
2.there it is, the menuitem
3.
Actual Results:
nothing should be at the bottom of the webpage instead of the webpage itself

if you can, send a message to hokachee@gamil.com to teach me how to get rid of it, many thanks!

Care to advise then? The way I made it out his explaining was/is that bug...just like Jo Hermans appears to have thought also.
That bug has "bfcache/notification bar interaction" in it's summary, this one has nothing to do with that.
After thinking about this it sounds like an extension issue or localization problem where a menuitem doesn't have a correct title or missing one...which also gives the huge gray bar at the bottom. Since he says he gets this even after a new install, I'm betting on a localization problem. Core: localization

I'll see if I can confirm and give more info when I get home later on.

Summary: i start to have this 'menuitem' section at the bottom of my page when i open firefox, it is very irritating and i have no idea how to get ride of it. → Locale zh-TW: big gray bar at bottom of screen due to a menuitem
Version: unspecified → 1.8 Branch
I've heard this issue come by far more often over the past couple of days than is normal. In particular I think a couple of them were zh-TW builds with the Google toolbar. I wonder if Google's locale is broken?
Alse if this is a problem with our locale then it should be in Mozilla Localizations::zh-TW, if it's Google then Extension Compatibility I guess.

jamesho, do you have the Google toolbar installed?
i can`t reproduce this with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; zh-TW; rv:1.8.1.6) Gecko/2007072518 Firefox/2.0.0.6 and also with the google toolbar installed

It's a bug in Java Runtime update (only in zh-TW). Sun has fix this problem in JRE 6 update 2, so you can install it again from Java website. ( http://www.java.com/zh_TW/download/windows_xpi.jsp?begindownload=true )
Going to dupe this to a bug tracking the problem with the java extension. If anyone is seeing this and not running a traditional chinese build then please open a separate bug.
