is it crashing after install completed?
what is the exact text of the retry error message?

It crashes in the beginning of install when thunderbird.exe is unpackaged.

As stated in description, error screen reads: When installing Thunderbird 2, thunderbird.exe crashes and asks if you want to retry or cancel. When you select retry it gives you same screen until you cancel and installation stops.

Upgrade version from v 1.0.2.
A lot that happens after extract. Where in the process - after "next", after license, after "setup type", shortcuts, "installing"?

Summary: When installing, thunderbird.exe crashes → after "installing", with retry / cancel dialog
I click to install, starts installing process, gets about 10% of progress bar then gets crash and retry option. It specifically states thunderbird.exe has crashed.
Have you tried installing into another empty folder? Just in case the old installation folder contains some old garbage causing problems...
