Suppose I have a saved query shared to group FOO. And then we add 10 new users assigned to group FOO (automatically via a regexp). Those 10 users do not see the shared query unless I reshare the query.

This is with Bugzilla 3.1

Reproducible: Always
You mean it doesn't show up in their footer automatically, or it just isn't available for them to subscribe to?

Hmm, I didn't think of it that way. What I saw in my preference page was that, say, 500 users have access to the query even though I know there are 600 users in the group. Re-sharing correctly increased the count to 600.

I'll see if I can add more clarity later.
When you can bless users to a group, you have the ability to force your saved searches to be in other members' footer. But that's a one time action, at the time you click "Submit Changes". We don't keep track of this action for future new members; this is useless IMO. These new users are free to add them to their footer themselves. So it's wrong to say that these new users cannot see them.

Hi Frederic,

While I agree new users are free to add them to the footer, I think it's very useful to make the shared queries be available in the the footer by default, for all users in the group.

My reason is that new users are green and have noticed most of my folks hardly spend time changing their preferences. They just want the default behavior, and we want new users to quickly ramp up accessing some default queries.

I acknowledge this is a style issue, but for me, it's about making the initial bugzilla experience friendlier.

Actually, I agree with Albert here. We should add the search automatically to users who are newly added to the group, though this is a bit tricky to do.
