Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X; en-GB; rv:1.8.1.7) Gecko/20070914 Firefox/2.0.0.7

I would like an option (tucked away in about:config is fine) to display the <img>'s ALT attribute before the image has loaded, instead of the image-placeholder

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to page containing many images with ALT text

Actual Results:
Before images load, they display an image-placeholder

Expected Results:
I would like an option to instead show the ALT text for those images before they load

Some images will just never load or render. A server is too heavily loaded, an image is corrupted, the content-type is wrong, etc. Displaying the ALT text as early as possible is beneficial for these situations

I can confirm that this request still applies to current Firefox. Whether it should get fixed I don't know, but confirming nonetheless.
