The flash plugin may not being installed properly. When you install the plugin, could you check if it says "Install Failed" -- next to a button that says "Manual Install"?

Yeah, lets dupe it against bug 416396 for the moment. If it shouldn't be this issue feel free to comment and state why, so we could reopen this bug.

I don't know what your actual build is, rapunzel, but you're very likely hitting the bug to which this is duplicated; verified.
