I am under Gentoo Linux, firefox, seamonkey and epiphany (also checked with official firefox from mozilla.com and with a fresh configuration directory.

Browsers freeze when trying to print many wikipedia pages, for example:
http://es.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Monasterio_de_El_Escorial&printable=yes

Running "top" seems that firefox (and the others) are using more than 98% of CPU

I get no error when running them from a terminal

Opera and konqueror work ok

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Go to http://es.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Monasterio_de_El_Escorial&printable=yes
2.Click on print preview or print
3.
Actual Results:  
Firefox freezes while "preparing"

Expected Results:  
Print or print preview should work properly

I have this problem under x86 and x86_64, with official mozilla.com build and Gentoo's compilation through emerge

For me, this got fixed between 2007-08-15-09-trunk and 2007-08-16-08-trunk, but I don't see anything relevant in that timeframe, and/or whether it would be appropriate for the branch (I'd guess not)

Odd, for me this is fixed by bug 285608 (on WinXP)

Perhaps there was a Linux only bug also at work here.

Andrew, care to check a 2007-06-28 Linux build?

My 2007-06-28-09-trunk build hangs on print preview.

Right, thanks for checking. I rechecked the 2007-06-27-11-trunk build and it does indeed hang with scale set to 125%. No hang in 2007-08-16-05-trunk.

Maybe this page also triggered Bug 350684 (which became elusive after bug 285608 landed)

In any case this certainly seems to be fixed on the current trunk.
