This is split off from bug 403505.

Attachment 288333 [details] doesn't display correctly, but when the whitespace is removed it does work correctly (i.e., the same way attachment 288335 [details] does).

My guess would be something wrong with one of the XBL bindings that assumes it's dealing with XML parsed by the XUL content sink, which strips out whitespace-only text nodes.
Attachment 288333 [details] doesn't display correctly in my nightly build, Version should be changed to Trunk?
