The attached patch makes the cvs blame for nsCSSFrameConstructor about 150KB smalle in data size, and renders about 25% faster, using about 4MB less memory, in trunk Gecko.

Unfortunately this requires sticking classes on every checkin, not just on the gray-background ones.  :(  It also requires an extra CSS rule, basically to match what html.css does for <pre>.

A pox on NS4.
