When I use the back button to go to the previous page(s) the page always reloads at the extreme top. It does this regardless of where the forward link was on the page therefore I'm forever scrolling to find exactly where I came from! As far as I'm concerned it should reload to the exact spot where the forward link is that I used.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. I'm on a page
2. I press the back button
Actual Results:
The previous page(s) reload at the top of the page(s)

Expected Results:
I want to be returned to the exact spot I had been on a previous page
Can you give an example of a page where going back to it doesn't remember the scroll position? It works correctly for me on most pages, but there are known bugs for several large categories of pages.
Thanks Jesse,
Of course I checked out whether I could fix it in Firefox's preferences before asking you. One really obvious example is with eBay.
Can you be more specific? If you're only seeing it when you go back to ebay *search results*, you might be hitting the same bug as the reporter of bug 374669.
It doesn't look like anyone's solved #374669 yet anyway Jesse! Besides that one I can't get the page that the other supposed duplicate bug is on to load at all so I can't cross check. Anyway my "bug" seems different.
Unlike #374669 it doesn't matter where I am within eBay when I press the back button or whereabouts I'm going back to.
Unlike #374669 hitting the back button takes me back to the VERY TOP of the page not just a couple of spaces difference.
This is a mass search for bugs that are in the Firefox General component, are UNCO, and have not been changed for 1000 days and have an unspecified version.

Reporter, can you please update to Firefox 3.6.10, create a fresh profile, http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/managing+profiles, and test again. If you still see the bug, please update this bug. If the issue is gone, please set the resolution to RESOLVED > WORKSFORME.
