User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.10) Gecko/20071128 Fedora/2.0.0.10-2.fc7 Firefox/2.0.0.10 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8.1.10) Gecko/20071128 Fedora/2.0.0.10-2.fc7 Firefox/2.0.0.10 When the prompt to either "open with" or "save to disk" comes up, I select "save to disk" and it just comes up as completed or does not even show in download manager, I can open when I select "open with". When I right-click the link and select "save as", it saves, but the default location to save file is not last place I selected to download with "save to disk", but with the last location I chose when I right-clicked and selected "save as". I found a proposed solution to delete the download.rdf file, but I could not find it under /usr/include/firefox-2.0.0.10/profile. I also did a search checking the entire file system, and it could not find the file. I appreciate any help you can provide, and I enjoy an otherwise wonderful and very customizable product. Thank you. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.select a downloadable file 2.select save to disk 3.check if your download is there or valid Actual Results: Sometimes file is not there, sometimes it is not a valid file Expected Results: a completed file Fairly new machine, Pentium IV, around 3 ghz, 512 mb memory, etc,

It's "downloads.rdf" ("downloads" plural). Does this help? http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Unable+to+download+or+save+files#Clear_the_download_history_manually Also, it's going to be in ~/.mozilla/firefox/xxxxxxxx.default/ (where "xxxxxxxx" is going to be your profile's unique name); this is a hidden directory that you'll have to manually "cd" to.

I tried those suggestions and I discovered that my downloads complete if I have my preferences set at downloading to a specific place at all times. But when I set it to prompt me where to save my downloads, my downloads do not finish. I hope this clears some things up.
