Clicking on Javascript Newstickers sometimes ignores the first click and requires a subsequent click to launch the URL. This does not occur on IE7.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Visit a page with Javascript Newsticker (e.g http://news.bbc.co.uk/ )
2. Left click on the link while the ticker is typing
(Not always reproducable. Might require pressing back then trying again)
Actual Results:
Sometimes newstickers require clicking twice to launch URL.

Expected Results:
Should launch URL on first click.
Confirmed that this happens; tested on Windows XP. I see this in trunk but also in branch builds, also in older releases like Firefox 1. BBC clearly didn't test their ticker on Firefox.
