basically a lot of time is spent in javascript (the function names aren't valid)

Reproduce it again, and use kill -SIGILL {firefox-bin's pid} this should trigger crash reporter.

Tried running many Basic Functional Tests with FF.
 I quit FireFox using cmd-q or pulldown from firefox in the menu bar is not crashing tried with 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 added apps running - need steps to reproduce.

I get hangs on shutdown with the Linux nightlies sometimes.

This time http://crash-stats.mozilla.com/report/index/9fca3b5c-f278-11dc-b93a-001a4bd43ef6 it was, incidentally or not, when I closed the window after having lots of these messages fill my error console:

It is not a clean profile or safe mode. Probably didn’t happen when I noticed the message the previous time.

Lucas, your crash looks like bug 427715.  Please also note that this bug
is about a hang, the bugs you refer to are crashes.

In January I’ve switched to GNU IceCat (I think it was 3.0.4 or 3.0.5), and I don’t remember it ever hang on exit or at all without an obvious cause.

On the other hand, I am using an older computer now, and thus restart the browser much more often.
