User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9b3pre) Gecko/2008010904 Minefield/3.0b3pre Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9b3pre) Gecko/2008010904 Minefield/3.0b3pre Sometimes, when downloading a file with a non-descript name the possibility to add a tag or comment for it would be good. Especially when downloading compressed archives with password protection. I don't know exactly what changes will come when Places will be fully implemented, but I haven't seen this feature mentioned. Thanks for considering my request. Sincerely, Pas Reproducible: Always Actual Results: Now all the information that can be gathered for a download is the time and the page where it is originated. Expected Results: When the download dialog pops up, a field for comments, az input line for tags/keywords/labels could be presented for the user. Then these could be seen in the download window when clicking on the actual item. And optionally the tags/keywords could be searched, like bookmarks.

See also bug 267369 (saving the URL in a filesystem [e.g. of the desktop environment]).

This doesn't seem to be useful beyond a niche set of use cases, which makes it a bad fit for the core application. Would be an interesting application, for sure.
