Note that the ring thickness is completely inconsistent (which I think might be
"normal"), but the bottom and right side look to have a flat cut-off to the
ring (and thinner than the others).

This WFM in 1.9.2, too; they're still odd-shaped, but so are Safari's, and they don't look anything like that horrible screenshot from the past.
