User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X; en-US) AppleWebKit/523 (KHTML, like Gecko, Safari/523.10) OmniWeb/v615.0.97439
Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en_US; rv:1.9b2) Gecko/2007121014 Firefox/3.0b2

In native OS X apps you can open the pop up button menu by pressing space or up/down arrow keys if the pop up button has focus. Firefox pop up buttons in web pages don't react to these keys at all, in XUL windows (e.g. prefs window) they do, but you can't close the pop up menu by pressing space again.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a web page with html <select> elements, e.g. https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=Firefox&format=guided
2. Make a pop up button focused by pressing tab key or clicking on it
3. Press space bar or up/down arrow keys
Actual Results:
Nothing happens.

Expected Results:
Correspoding pop up menu should open. Second press of space bar should close the menu, leaving the currently selected element selected.
I'm changing the title because I think you mean drop down boxes. (HTML <select> fields)

Summary: Pop up buttons don't react to space and up/down arrow keys → Drop down boxes don't react to space and up/down arrow keys
They're called pop up buttons in OS X, but yes, that's what I mean.
