Patch for Update Status page v2

Couple of things I've noticed on a quick read through:

> <li>Bugzilla administrators are again noticed for new releases.</li>

noticed -> notified

> <li>One can now enable "change several bugs" if the user has editbugs OR
> product-specific editbugs for ALL tickets.</li>

Tickets?

> <li>Statuses and worflow can now be customized.</li>

Worflow -> workflow

Patch for Update Status page v2

><h1>Bugzilla Status Update</h1>

>Kanat-Alexander</a>, and

I think mkanat won't feel offended if you don't list him here. You wrote the status update, not him.

><p>3.1.4 has lots of new features as you can read about it below,

Lots? As the 3.2 code is now frozen to prepare 3.2 RC1, we are now mainly fixing regressions and major bugs. We didn't implement many new features in 3.1.4, besides SMTP authentication, and the ability to delete unused custom fields.

><p>All of the releases also contain a security fix, which you can
> read about in the <a href="../security/3.0.4/">Security Advisory</a>.</p>

3.0.4 has one security fix, but 3.1.4 has two, see bug 425110. Also, the URL is wrong (3.0.4 -> 3.0.3).

><h2>About Bugzilla 3.1.4</h2>

> <li>Bugzilla administrators are again noticed for new releases.</li>

s/noticed/notified/

> <li>Attachments have now midair collision protection</li>

Remove this one. It has been implemented in 3.1.3, not 3.1.4, and is already listed at http://www.bugzilla.org/status/2008-02-01.html.

> <li>Enhanced UTF-8 support on all the Bugzilla pages.</li>

This is also an old story, AFAIK. There are many bugs left to fix before we can say that again.

> <li>The version headers have been removed from all the templates.</li>

Old story; maybe a 3.1.2 or 3.1.3 thing.

> <li>One can now enable "change several bugs" if the user has editbugs OR
> product-specific editbugs for ALL tickets.</li>

This isn't clear enough: A user who has product-specific editbugs privs for all bugs listed in a buglist can now use the "Change several bugs at once" link to do mass-changes.

> <li>Search.pm has been rewritten to ease the reading of regexp list.</li>

AFAIK, this was done prior to 3.1.4.

> <li>The Webservice is now able to add a comment in a bug.</li>

Also prior to 3.1.4.

> <li>Unused custom fields can now be deleted from editfields.cgi.</li>

Remove "from editfields.cgi".

> <li>Statuses and worflow can now be customized.</li>

Old story. Was implemented in 3.1.1 IIRC.

You should also mention that Bugzilla 2.20 is soon EOL (End Of Life) and that admins are encouraged to upgrade to 3.0.4.
Also, you should mention that we hope our next release to be 3.2 RC1, with an attempt to release it in Q2 2008.

Was implemented before 3.1.4. Remove it.

Otherwise looks good. Thanks for the patch. r=LpSolit

Patch for Status page v5

><p>Here are some highlights:</p>

I think it would be fine to mention that Bugzilla has been highly improved when several languages are available, see bug 182975, bug 405946 and bug 425288.
Also worth mentioning is performance improvements when doing searches, see bug 399370 and bug 372795.
I would also mention that full UTF8 support should now be complete.

r=LpSolit on an updated patch which includes these suggestions.
