All the search engines on AMO have been converted to the OpenSearch-compatible format. We need the search engines to appear on the preview site. The converted files have been zipped up into http://people.mozilla.com/~basil/sesconv/OSengines.zip. You can download individual ones (http://people.mozilla.com/~basil/sesconv/).

You can test them out using this link (http://people.mozilla.com/~basil/sesconv/zlist.html). Hit this URL and then use the dropdown menu from Firefox's search engines list to add the search engine.
Not possible to do this on prod safely?
No, we will push 5 to preview.

Uploaded new versions of A9, ask.com, bbc news, business.com, and del.icio.us on preview.amo. All 5 seemed to upload, land in the sandbox, and take their categories well. Bugs I've run into now include:

1) I don't see a way to nominate the new version to be public.

2) When using the admin control panel to edit the add-on/file status, it always resets to sandbox. I thought this was fixed with the tinyint(1) -> tinyint(2) thing?

3) Going to a page like https://preview.addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browse/type:4/cat:80?sort=name has 2 add-ons on it, both have new versions in the sandbox. If you mouse over the "Add to Firefox" button for BBC News you'll see it wants to install a .xml file. If you go to the BBC News detail page and mouse over the "Add to Firefox" button you'll see it wants to install a .src file.

I think this particular bug is fixed (they're uploaded) but have we seen any of the above bugs before or should I file new bugs?
New bugs are filed. FIXED.
