Seen while testing Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.4; en-US; rv:1.9b4) Gecko/2008030317 Firefox/3.0b4.

STR:
1. Add the Print icon to the toolbar using customize toolbar.
2. Click it once. Nothing happens. 
3. Click it again and the print dialog opens.

Expected: The icon would respond after the first mouseclick. Note this does not happen on Windows using the latest nightly.

I went back and retested this. It turns out it does respond with one mouse click, but there is a significant lag compared to Windows, and this resulted in me thinking I needed to click the icon again. So changing summary to reflect this...

Do you see this same lag with File > Print? On my computer, Firefox always hangs a bit before displaying the system Print dialog.

Hmm... yes, there is about a 2 second lag the first time I click Print since launching FF. But more importantly, FF failed to show the mouse down (pressed) Print icon, which gave the impression that the click was ignored.

Subsequent clicks are somewhat faster to reach the print dialog, and the icon properly shows the click action.

Speculation: it feels like the clicked Print icon is not preloaded in memory, so that by the time FF is ready to display the down state the click is already over. 

The default toolbar buttons (back/forward refresh stop & home) behave correctly.
Perhaps all of the non-default toolbar buttons behave this way? Print is the most common one that people add (including me). I will add some other buttons, quit, then try again.

Drat, didn't happen this time. Print icon clicked correctly, after quit & reopen, then again after quit-logout-login-open.

In FF 8.* Mac, there is a small lag (under 1 second) on the first click of the Print icon while the print dialog box loads, but the icon properly displays the down state. Willing to call this WFM.
