Build Identifier: http://landfill.bugzilla.org/testopia2/ version 2.0 (build? not sure)

The new Testopia interface rocks, but would make moving to it very compelling for my company (and others I'm guessing) would be to include an area for requirements definition and creation (similar to TestLink's and QualityCenter) so that test cases can be mapped to requirements.

We're trying to become more of Agile development/test group, so we need a way for requirments to be entered, used, and live online so we don't have create unnecesary, out of date documentation.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Go to http://landfill.bugzilla.org/testopia2/, login
2. Look around for an area to define requirements

Actual Results:
I see that each test cases provide a text box to type in a requirment, but ideally this may actually be a lookup of some sort to predefined requirments in another area of Testopia.

Expected Results:
I would expect (in a feature enhancment like this) to create requirements by Test Plan, then associate 0 to many test cases with the requirements. Further, I'd like to be able to see a report showing requirements coverage by test case, execution status, etc.

Amen Brother. :)

Originally, I had set out to do just that, and some day I hope to build in such
capability. The idea was to have a full suite of Requirements/Tests/Bugs in one
system. We now have the Test suite plugin (Testopia) and I still hope to get to
the requirements plugin some day, but I doubt it will happen soon.

Hey Gang! I am interested in collaborating on Testopia, and it seems to align pretty closely with something I've wanted for a lot of years. I bought the domain name "openRequirements.org" about 5 years ago with the intent of creating a requirements engineering system (which would support requirements definition as well as verification/testing.) I have some notes and thoughts on the topic, but it is not spec'd out formally at this time. Please contact me if you want to brainstorm moving Testopia in this direction.
