STR:

- Drag the locationbar favicon onto the Bookmarks item in the menubar
- Release it

Expected behaviour: the bookmarks-menu should open and close, like in Firefox 2
Actual behaviour: the bookmarks-menu stays open

This does not happen when you drag it onto a folder on the Bookmarks Toolbar (and release it); this behaviour is still unchanged.

actually i'm not sure this is wanted, maintaining the menu open allow for better reorganization and we are trying to maintain open other menupopups too.
i've tried restoring the old behaviour but i feel it worst then the new, so waiting on ux team decisions

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h".

In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows:
Tools | Message Filters
Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New"
Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h
Change the action to "Delete Message".
Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top.
Click OK.

Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter.

we close the menu when dragging out of a menu, but never when dragging into it, this is coherent afaict.
I don't think we want to change this, we didn't really get much negative feedback about the current behavior (if we got any negative feedback at all).
