Compare http://www.chipmark.com:8082/forum/comments.php?DiscussionID=76&Feed=RSS2&page=1 to http://www.chipmark.com:8082/forum/comments.php?DiscussionID=76&page=1#Comment_350

In the RSS version, the link from the first image, which is not closed, carries on across the whole of the rest of the post. In the HTML version, a subsequent closed link closes the first link too.

So what is happening in the HTML case is explained in https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=62362#c17. It's not clear to me whether it's correct that the RSS version doesn't do the same thing.
