Adding a new bookmark by right-clicking a livemark container in the library sidebar makes the library view jump between that container and a different one (probably the previous one viewed) several times. These seems similar to the problem with the library back and forward button view cycling. The number of jumps varies between one and twenty.

Saw this while looking into bug 431029.

Using:

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9pre) Gecko/2008042606 Minefield/3.0pre

STR:
1/ open library
2/ make sure you already have a livemark bookmarked and visible in the sidebar
3/ right-click the livemark container
4/ pick "new bookmark"
5/ fill in the fields and press enter to create bookmark
6/ observe jumping
i doubt this has been mostly fixed in bug 431140 (if not the same)
no more valid, we don't allow creating bookmarks in livemark containers

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h".

In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows:
Tools | Message Filters
Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New"
Conditions: Body contains places-to-b-and-h
Change the action to "Delete Message".
Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top.
Click OK.

Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter.
