Hi

everytime I try installing the M16 PSM with more recent
mozilla builds (2000062008 here) the installation

for the Linux PSM starts normally but after downloading aborts
with a browser crash. Sorry no stacktrace possible here.

The files do not seem to get installed at all.

I did not find a similiar bugzilla ticket, so tentatively entering
a new one.

Marking worksforme. Try renaming your ~/.mozilla directory as well as the
../package directory before reinstalling mozilla and then PSM.

Verified. No crash, but there is a new install problem. See bug 43272.

Another try at this bug.. (reopening)

For me, install process crashes on linux
if you don´t have write permission in the
package directory.

(I installed mozilla as root and tried downloading
PSM as a normal user -> tadaa! crash!)

Probably related to bug 29741 and bug 12805.

Tested with 2000070308, Linux.

I copied the package/ dir to /usr/local/package, chown'ed as root.root and ran
/usr/local/package/mozilla as a regular user. I successfully downloaded the PSM
package and Moz crashed as soon as the download was complete.

Worksforme. If I don't have write permissions I see an install error, but no
crash.
