Thunderbird spell check marks ordinal indicators as incorrectly spelled words. For example "5th" returns a notice that "th" is a misspelled word when spell check is run.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Compose new mail message
2. Include ordinal indicator suffix (-st, -nd, etc)
3. Run spell check
Actual Results:
Number is ignored by spell check, ordinal indicator flagged as incorrect spelling

Expected Results:
Thunderbird should ignore ordinal indicator

Firefox 3 beta 5 does not flag ordinal indicators as incorrectly spelled words. Problem is specific to Thunderbird.

WFM on Thunderbird 3.0b2 on Windows.
Haven't checked in on this in a while so can't say when it was fixed, but as of current build this works on Mac OS.

There is more than one bug report for this. For there are also the following ones (and there may be more):

https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=240357
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/aspell-en/+bug/507471

I continue to have the problem, on Thunderbird 68.2.2. The problem grates, makes Thunderbird look bad and, at least if count from its inception, is very, very old.
