When testing Firefox 3 Release Candidate 1 with the Acid 2 test the final render was not like the reference render. This non-compliance was not present in previous Firefox 3 builds.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.go to http://acid2.acidtests.org
2.Click on "Take the Acid 2 Test"
3.
Actual Results:
The render should has a red bar across the eyes of the render and when copied and pasted it comes up with:

"Hello World!

ERROR"

Expected Results:
A perfect render as shown here: http://acid2.acidtests.org/reference.html

Similar to bug 418235 only the eyes can not be seen when I tested it.

What I was really asking was whether you tried using Ctrl+0 to reset any zooming you might have done in the past, or tried viewing it in safe mode ( http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode ).
Same bug for me. Tested RC1-RC3. Eyes are not visible. No zooming. Same in safe mode.

Do you have Bittorrent installed on your computer?

> Do you have Bittorrent installed on your computer?

Yes, I'm using uTorrent. But ACID2 rendaring fails even when uTorrent isn't started.
Go to /Tools/Add-ons/Plugins

Is "Bittorrent Plugin 1" listed there?
No, Bittorent Plugin is not listed there.
How about disabling the plugins one by one to see if one of them is causing this issue?
Thank you, Pineocast SwirlX3D X3D/VRML is causing this issue.
Blocks: acid3

See bug 426027, comment 16. What MIME type is listed for that plugin?
model/x3d+xml
model/x3d
model/x3d-vrml
model/vrml

We have no news from the original reporter.
If Hugh doesn't comment again to bring new information, I suggest morphing this bug to "Pineocast SwirlX3D X3D/VRML plugin breaks Acid 2" and confirming.
OK
WFM on today's clean trunk on mac
This bug does not appear to have anything to do with Acid3. Removing it from the blocking list.
No longer blocks: acid3

Summary: FF3 RC1 doesn't pass acid 2. → Acid 2 broken with Pineocast SwirlX3D X3D/VRML plugin
So is the issue that this plug-in registers for the empty extension (and hence ends up handling some of the <object>s in this testcase)?

Richard, I assume you can still reproduce this issue?
Priority: -- → P3
