As I don't use the contect menu to open new mails, I'd like to use middle-click to open a new tab as in Fx.
I don't think that many users use the right-click menu to open mails. And as there aren't any options to change the behaviour of tabs other than width and heigth, I guess, not many users use tabs in Tb. I've only stumbled upon this feature by accident as it's really hidden when you don't often use the context menu.

Same issue for me. Not being able to easily open folders or messages in new tabs by middle clicking basically renders the tabbed interface useless.
