User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-GB; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008051206 Firefox/3.0

I don't understand this... I'm using Firefox 3 RC1, and for the last couple of weeks, Firefox keeps temporarily freezing randomly. Problem is, Firefox just becomes very very slow and unresponsive for anything up to 60 seconds, to the extent that nothing can be done, and then afterwards it just continues as if nothing had gone wrong.

I've tried: disabling extentions, deleting my browsing history, and even safe mode. None of these made a difference. I'm out of ideas, there's nothing else I can think of! Help?

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Just normal browser usage.
Actual Results:
Every so often (up to a few times per hour), Firefox will become very slow and unresponsive (for up to 60 seconds at a time).

Expected Results:
Acted normally.

Nothing actually crashes so there is no error report to refer to. It can be noted that I have a lot of bookmarks, but this shouldn't affect anything, right?

*attach to process*
.logopen c:\435970.log
*follow steps from url*
!analyze -v -hang
.logclose

*add an attachment* with the log.
This is all I've got. There was no "access violation" after it hung so I had to break and get the stacktrace manually. This is what came up:

ChildEBP RetAddr
0f2bfab8 77c9d0d0 ntdll!DbgBreakPoint
0f2bfae8 76924911 ntdll!DbgUiRemoteBreakin+0x3c
0f2bfaf4 77c4e4b6 kernel32!BaseThreadInitThunk+0xe
0f2bfb34 77c4e489 ntdll!__RtlUserThreadStart+0x23
0f2bfb4c 00000000 ntdll!_RtlUserThreadStart+0x1b
I have this same problem with firefox 3 now. it is really bad when I try to use my aol mail, but actually freezes and hangs and is unresponsive no matter where or what I'm doing when I'm on firefox 3. I have actually downloaded other browsers to use because of this problem. When I'm on the other browser I do not have this problem, the only thing is..the other browsers do not have as many features as firefox3 or they just dont let all the features of yahoo mail or aol mail show up so I prefer firefox but if this problem isn't cleared up soon I'm afraid I will have to uninstall it and just use the other browser because it is very aggravating
I forgot to add..I have windows xp not vista like the original person has.
