Importing IE favorites dialog hangs up. The only way to stop it is using the Vista Task Manager, to abort FireFox. I am using Vista Ultimate 64bit and all Dutch versions.

IE favorites are not imported
I just installed Firefox 3.0.8 on my sister's work computer running Windows 2000 and it hang (seemingly) forever. After about 60 seconds I decided to kill firefox.exe, delete the profile and try again.

This time it froze again and I fired up IE to file this bug report. After about 2 minutes, Firefox suddenly popped up and everything was working fine.

So, it seems that importing from IE can take quite a while, and I'd say the bug here is that the importer doesn't give you any progress (the UI completely hangs during the import, giving the appearance that something went wrong).

Steps to reproduce:
1. Test this on a computer with A LOT of favorites, cookies, and passwords saved (this particular computer has been going for years).
2. Install Firefox and ask it to import from IE.
3. Get a nice cup of coffee, or espresso with a nice crema (or tea if that's your preference).

I am able to import favorites from IE to Firefox.
too old compared to current code (that mostly changed), if it still happens should be reported in a new bug.
