User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9) Gecko/2008052906 Firefox/3.0 I noticed that when I had several tabs open as I switched between tabs, my screen 'jumped'. I tracked this down to the toolbars being redrawn as I switched between tabs. Most likely it is caused by favicons of slightly different heights and then then the navigation bar being redrawn. This is happening with the default FF3 theme. If you want an example, open Fark in one tab and then open a blank page in a second tab, and switch back and forth (just one example). Turning off the navigation toolbar stops the problem. It also doesn't happen on some other themes. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Fark.com in tab 1 2. Open an empty tab in tab 2 3. Switch back and forth Actual Results: The navigation toolbar is drawn at two separate sizes causing a slight visible jump. Expected Results: Stayed the same size

Additional Info: This only happens when the toolbar is set to "small icons", which is why it may not have been obviously noticed before. I upgraded from FF2 and it inherited my toolbar sizing. The extra size of the toolbar icons creates a larger toolbar overall, and gives room for the favicon to grow.
