Not only has it gotten worse since Firefox 2, it frigin sucks!, Sure displaying CSS is still better, but it doesn't help if it stalls, lags up and just becomes plain bothersome.
Issues found:
It looks a bit better, but always did
Uses more resources, its not suppose to be worse in terms of memory usage if its an upgrade.
Stalls up if a website is taking too long to respond, meaning if you try to do something else while retrying a connection to a site you know works, it'll crash the browser.
Browsing hotmail got worse because you force it into the light version.
That stupid thing you added for the address bar is useless, you type in h
and get the http:// of everything! wtf!?
h use to bring up hotmail immediately from the drop down of the history of urls.
Media: try viewing a flash or something that uses javascript mainly in the page and watch this bugger stall up.
Try viewing avi files or something like that, they automatically play in Firefox 2, with little lag, odd crashes, now its 8/10 trys of viewing direct media it just stalls!
Over all, I think you guys rushed this version of your browser for your stupid world record, nobody will care next month if you hit a world record or not, I know I'm being mean, but come on.
I loved Firefox 1 and 2, and still do 3, because it still beats IE no matter how you look at it, but you can't rush perfection, I hope the patch for 3 fixes a lot of this stuff, if not, consider making everyone downgrade as another world record(Most consecutive downgrades in 24 hours) as your next goal, because I'm severely disappointed by this release.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Browse
2. Use the interwebs
3. Turn on Firefox?

Sorry but this is a bug database and you that means one bug per issue and you have to search for existing bug reports before you write a new bug. -> invalid

BTW: There was no rush with the release, Firefox3 is 3 years of development, Firefox2 branch is already 3 years old.
Many crashes are caused by bugs in addons but that is not our problem, you should try to run Firefox in teh safemode if you crash frequently.

marking invalid /multible issue per bug)

in theory if you star hotmail or visit it enough times, it should appear first in the list for 'h' ...

That means I should go install Seamonkey because it actually works like a proper browser, right? Damn I miss Mozilla Suite, That was a browser, That with Firefox 2's GUI would be like heaven.

Plus, I've only got 5 add-ons
2 I put in because of the **** they stuffed in Firefox 3
Example: oldbar 1.2, Hide unvisited 3
Then I've onto got Alexa, Instant Action and Weblin helper 1.7 which isn't even turned on.
You broke the one bug per issue law and that means that this bug report is invalid, please do not reopen this.

Near all crashes are coming from Gecko and the Gecko in Seamonkey is the same as in Firefox.
You can complain about UI features you don't like but don't do that in this bug databse which is a tool for the developers and such discussions belongs into newsgroups or Forums.

Fixed! I've installed Mozilla Suite 1.7.6
So I'm officially on strike from your newer browsers until you make a proper one, Sure, I've posted multiple bugs that makes it invalid, but I have to get my message across as an individual who WANTS to use Mozilla based browsers, But I think everyone here forgot the fundamentals, I have a good pc, 2GB ram, but I ran Mozilla suite on 128mb ram, 30 tabs open only using 32mb - 64mb ram, back on an old Pentium 2, With all these new releases all you've done is make it consume 100 more mb ram with each release, way to go, I bet you feel, wait, the community feels awesome.
Being open to security risks is better then a crashing browser. Right?

Come on, I'm a SeaMonkey user (since 8 years) and i don't use Firefox at all except at work and for bug triaging but I can tell you that you have no clue about what you are writing.Comparing Memory usage shows that you have no clue at all because 90% of all memory and crashes are coming from Gecko which is shared between SM and FF.

For memory : read http://www.infoworld.com/article/08/06/30/Firefox_30_wins_memory_battle_1.html

I keep my computer on for DAYS, and keep Firefox on for DAYS, the memory usage piles up in FireFox, around 250MB with 19 tabs open.
Both JUST opened, same sites, same amount of tabs with a screenshot of memory usage for you.

Its safe for work, but I suppose you have to trust me.
