In some sites Firefox cannot scroll with keyboard up/down or left/right
Got to the URL given, try to make the focus on the article by clicking inside the written text article. Then try to navigate up/down with the keyboard. Only the first keyboard up/down command is obeyed, and then it doesn't have any affect. i.e. you can't scroll down more than 1 "line"

There are flash adds on this page and flash eats keyword events but it should work if you highlight text and it's working for me with FF3.01

Are you using a scroll related extension? It could be a bug in this extension.
In any case I can reproduce the problem with a smooth scroll extension installed but not with a new profile without add-ons.

I could still see the problem after I updated to Firefox 3.0.1, and even when I disabled all the add ons . in reply to #1, it still doesn't work even if I highlight text.

When I started from a new profile, it fixed the problem, but isn't there a better solution?

Did you run Firefox in the Firefox safemode ?

There must be either an addon/theme or a setting problem.

I ran now Firefox in safemode and I still see the problem. 
Only creating a new profile solved it.

nivtwig, do you still see this using v3.6 or trunk build?

WFM using Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-US; rv:1.9.3a5pre) Gecko/20100518 Minefield/3.7a5pre - with and without flash adverts displaying (controlled via flashblock). 

I do however see a slight performance issue described in bug 501158.

I am the bug reporter, I don't see this problem with Firefox 3.6.3 (with and without flash ads working, I disabled adblock plus to test this) .

It could be that the website changed its code to make it work with Firefox better .

But I see this problem here in the following link:

This time this is more complicated, I am using adblock plus to block ads on this page. Keyboard scrolling doesn't work here after you click with the mouse to the left of the article in the free space. Originally there is a flash ad over there in the place you mouse click, that I blocked with adblock plus , and when you mouse click, you click on the area where there was a flash ad originally.

So let's call this WFM.
