To roll out with Affiliates Program re-launch in Q3. We need to auto-send notification emails to the top 100 affiliates (based on points they have acquired overall) telling them that they'll be receiving a free SFx t-shirt for their efforts. After receiving the email, the affiliates will need to reply to affiliates@mozilla.com with their shipping address and t-shirt size. We will then send them a unique code for the Mozilla Store to redeem the shirt. Email draft: Hi (username), Here at Spread Firefox, we are so excited to see your enthusiasm for Firefox. Our Affiliates Program currently has nearly 2,000 active affiliates just like you from around the world who have buttons on their blogs, websites and email signatures. As a result, millions of people have downloaded Firefox and many more do so every day. Because you're one of our top affiliates, we wanted to thank you with a free Spread Firefox t-shirt [link to: http://store.mozilla.org/product.php?code=MZ13033&catid=9]. To receive your shirt, please respond to this email with your shipping address and t-shirt size within the next 14 days. We'll send you a unique code that you can redeem at the Mozilla Store [link to http://store.mozilla.org] Thanks again for being a member of the program, and for all that you do to spread Firefox! Sincerely, The Spread Firefox Team We also need to make sure there is an opt-out system in place: [Include this at bottom:] If you prefer to no longer receive emails from Mozilla, please click the to be removed link at the bottom of this email. [DOUBLE CHECK FUNCTIONALITY HERE] The sender of this email is Mozilla Corporation, 1981 Landings Dr., Bldg. K, Mountain View, CA, 94043 Click here to see how Mozilla uses your information: view our privacy policy. Did one last review -- just a couple tweaks to the first couple sentences. Final email as follows: ===================== Hi David, Thanks for all the great work you've done to help spread the word about Firefox! There are nearly 2,000 active affiliates just like you from around the world who have buttons on their blogs, websites and email signatures. As a result, millions of people have downloaded Firefox and many more do so every day. Because you're one of our top affiliates, we wanted to thank you with a free Spread Firefox t-shirt, http://store.mozilla.org/product.php?code=MZ13033&catid=9 To receive your shirt, please respond to this email with your shipping address and t-shirt size within the next 14 days. "To unsubscribe, please reply to this email with 'unsubscribe' as the subject" Would something like that satisfy the opt-out legally? I don't think anyone will really unsubscribe (IMHO), and we don't have any options in place on SFX to actually unsubscribe from.

That would work I think. Another solution is to email affiliates@mozilla.com. Is there any way to flag this in the database? Catherine -- do either of the above methods satisfy opt-out requirements?
