Details

It's been decided to separate Fx 3.0 and Fx 3.1.

Please clone the entire 3.0 product, testgroups and subgroups. And make appropriate summary changes to reflect FX 3.1 in the new suite.

We really need this to happen fairly soon as there are team members that have test cases that are ready to be entered in Litmus. It definitely needs to happen well before the 3.1 beta.
How do we track Litmus tests for Firefox 3.1 which were already added to the 3.0 testgroup? Can we completely identify all of them?

So I think we still have to wait until adding new tests.

I'll do this now.

This is done now. The new branch ID for Firefox 3.1 is 26.

FWIW, this is something any super-admin can do trivially now. Go to Manage Categories, and select Manage Branches. Select the branch you want to clone, and click the "Clone Branch" button. This will take you to the clone branch interface where you can choose to do a recursive clone of the entire branch, creating copies of all the testgroups/subgroups/testcases automatically.

Someone will want to create a new test run for 3.1, and there is all the standard cleanup to be done to make sure testcases for 3.1 are pertinent, correctly named, etc.

I've already regexp-ed the testcase summaries for 3.0->3.1. Please file a bug if there are any other batch naming changes to be made.

Ok, I will go ahead and create the run for 3.1. Henrik - Before you add test cases, let tracy and I do a little cleanup first. We will need to decide how the new features will be slotted in, in the event some of them don't fit neatly into existing categories.
