If you have different sidebars (because of different add-ons), you very often want them in different sizes.
I think it would be helpful, if Firefox could save the size individual for every sidebar, which is listed in "View/Sidebar", so that you don't have to customize theme every time again.

Is this a bug or a suggestion?

Can you please provide a working example of your report?
A quick search didn't turn up a duplicate, so confirming for now.

@Blade McNeil: This is a suggestion/feature request.

An example:

You want the bookmarks sidebar enlarged to the following size: http://ludit.kuleuven.be/software/netwerk/firefox/images/bookmarks03.gif

And you also want to have another sidebar (in this case the UpdateScanner sidebar) in the following size: http://updatescanner.mozdev.org/img/browser_context_menu.png

But you have to arrange them ever and ever again, because the sizes will not be saved individually.
I see what you mean, but this place is for bug reports only...

Indeed your request is admirable, but you will get much better responses if you request it in the official forum created for such a purpose http://forums.mozillazine.org/

I'm sure you will get better responses there...

Good luck Riva!

AFAIK this is a valid enhancement request for building in a new feature, even in case there is an existing extension for this function (which is what you possibly mean).

Yes Ria, you have explained it perfectly, thanks
+1 this is easily my top request. It's a huge frustration to me right now that our users can open our sidebar and have it look awful because they were previously using some other sidebar that looked better with a different width. Our users are extremely non-technical and often don't realize that a sidebar can be resized, so they just leave it at the bad size and think that our extension is broken or poorly designed.
