User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008070208 Firefox/3.0.1 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9.0.1) Gecko/2008070208 Firefox/3.0.1 I upgraded to the latest version of Firefox. Now when I open the browser for a new session, it opens my default page as a secondary tab in favor of your moronic announcement page that I've successfully upgraded, without giving me the option to turn this feature off. I've logged numerous queries - WHICH YOU IDIOTS HAVE IGNORED - and I want it to stop. TELL ME HOW TO TURN THIS OFF. I KNOW I UPGRADED. IT'S WORTHLESS. Jerks. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open the browser 2. No further goddamn steps necessary 3. because you suck Actual Results: Open the browser. Two tabs open: one is your announcement page, one is the default page. Expected Results: Just the default page, FOR GOD'S SAKE! Make it stop. JUST OPEN THE DEFAULT PAGE.

Dear Greg, Instead of your insults, please take the time to explore further in the features, you simply can do the following steps to make firefox load a blank page on startup. 1. Go to Tools > Options 2. In the "Main" tab, select the "Show a Blank Page" option in the drop down menu in the "startup" settings. 3. Either change the "Homepage" field to about:blank or leave it blank 4. Restart Firefox If you still get the same results after you have done the steps suggested, don't hesitate in reporting it.

@Greg, does that only hapen the first time you start up the browser after updating? If so, that is normal behavior of the browser.

Greg, do you still see this problem using the newest version of FF 3.x? (see comment 2 and 3) bug 447562 also mentions this issue
