can only view gmail with "basic HTML", this mode does not allow use of chat or other advanced gmail features.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.go to: https://www.google.com/accounts/ServiceLogin?service=mail&passive=true&rm=false&continue=http%3A%2F%2Fmail.google.com%2Fmail%2F%3Fui%3Dhtml%26zy%3Dl&bsv=1k96igf4806cy&ltmpl=default&ltmplcache=2
2.sign in to gmail
3.see screen message "loading xxxx@gmail.com..." , please note that you can view your mail by selecting the "load basic HTML" option, but chat & other features do not function in this mode :P
Actual Results:  
login progress screen hangs infinitely

Expected Results:  
is supposed to load gmail in "standard view" mode with chat

no addons, skins etc. are in use, I tried updating java but the same result after java update...
This can happen if you have modified your useragent string.
This is a mass search for bugs which are in the Firefox General component, are
UNCO, have not been changed for 500 days and have an unspecified version. 

Reporter, can you please update to Firefox 3.6.10 or later, create a fresh profile, http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/managing+profiles, and test again. If you still see the issue, please update this bug. If the issue is gone, please set the status to RESOLVED > WORKSFORME.

No reply from reporter, INCOMPLETE. Please retest with Firefox 3.6.12 or later and a new profile (http://support.mozilla.com/kb/Managing+profiles). If you continue to see this issue with the newest firefox and a new profile, then please comment on this bug.
